Our client is located in one of the fastest growing communities in the Lone Star state. The facility is part of a large not-for-profit healthcare system known for its quality healthcare.

This position will be responsible for the oversight and direction of the hospital's Quality, Utilization Management, Infection Control, Medical Staff Services and Plant Operations. The Director of Quality will  design, implement, monitor and adjust the delivery of these programs and services and lead efforts to participate in local and national benchmarking for best practices, oversee investigation and root cause analysis of hospital incidents and provide input to strategic planning processes. The Director of Quality will play a key leadership role at the system level through active participation on committees focusing on the development, implementation and evaluation of hospital and system strategic initiatives, operations, programs, services, financial performance and quality initiatives. This position will require an individual who will champion and work with system entity executives, management staff, employees, physicians and others to advance the development of a culture of safety.

Position qualifications include: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred but not required; Current RN License in the state of Texas or eligible for reciprocity; Certification in Quality Management or currently pursing certification and will obtain within 18 months of hire; 5 years related experience in an accredited acute care hospital; 3 years Supervisory and progressive management experience in quality/performance improvement; Experience in managing or providing administrative oversight for case management, social work and/or infection control a plus; Knowledge of industry standards related to Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, regulatory standards for areas of responsibility; Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques, inclusive of contemporary models (six sigma, lean, clinical microsystems as examples).
