Job Description
Infection Control Nurse
Seattle, Washington Area (Approximately 10 miles south of downtown Seattle)

Facility:
Our client is a 260+ bed acute care hospital including clinics with a daily census of approximately 160. The facility is accredited by The Joint Commission. Services range from orthopedic surgery to obstetrics, from heart care to home health. The facility offers access to leading medical experts supported by sophisticated technology. Through their progressive Planetree model of care, they are committed to caring for each patient and his or her family with genuine respect, understanding and compassion.
Location:
This facility is located in a 100 year old community with a rich heritage, established neighborhoods and a small town atmosphere.
Position:
In this position you will have responsibility for planning and coordinating the infection control program for the hospital, including tracking and trending of infections. Responsibilities will also include providing education and orientation on Bloodborne Pathogens and related Infection Prevention training. This position will report to the Laboratory Director and has shared secretarial support. The facility is using Premier's Web-based SafetySurveillor for managing the organization's infection control surveillance, prevention and reporting of data.
Qualifications:
Qualified applicants will be a current Registered Nurse in the state of Washington or eligible for reciprocity with a minimum of 3 years recent acute care experience, 2 years of current acute care infection prevention and control experience, or completion of a specialized Infection Control training program. BSN preferred. CIC preferred.
