Our client is a not-for-profit acute care healthcare system which provides comprehensive acute care, post-acute rehabilitation, behavioral, and occupational health services to the surrounding community.

Location:

Southeastern Pennsylvania, where the only horns blaring are from the sounds of cool jazz. Or, let your imagination drive your enthusiasm at one of their 30 museums. Cruise country roads where festivals and wineries surround you.

Position:

The Part Time Infection Preventionist will help to prevent healthcare associated infections by isolating sources of infections and limiting their spread. Other responsibilities include: surveillance, rounding, analyzing, interpreting and the reporting of healthcare associated infections; Supporting the development of evidence-based organizational infection prevention policies/standards that meet state, federal, regulatory and accrediting agencies standards; Training healthcare members in infection prevention; Serving as a resource, educator, researcher and proponent of change in order to influence infection prevention improvement to provide quality health care within the organization. The Infection Preventionist will report to the Director of Epidemiology, Infection Control and Prevention.   

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology-Clinical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, or Nursing required; Current Registered Nurse or eligible for reciprocity; CIC (Certified in Infection Prevention & Control); ASCP Registration required; 1-3 years of Infection Control experience; 1-3 Years Quality Improvement principles (Preferred); 4-5 Years Recent acute healthcare preferred; Excellent Communications Skills, Excellent Interpersonal Skills, General Clerical Skills, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word.
